Measuring Carbon Avoidance Efficiency: Six Orders of Magnitude in Climate Equities (2026)
Pazos, J. Under review at Sustainability (MDPI).
Earlier preprint: SSRN, DOI: 10.2139/ssrn.4623238
Introduces the Climate Efficiency Ratio (CER) — market capitalization per tonne of lifetime CO2e avoided — computed via 34 sector-specific physics proxy models and applied to 187 publicly traded firms spanning 51 Project Drawdown solutions. CER spans six orders of magnitude across the universe; tier classifications persist at 83.5–90.2% over 12 months.

Replication Deposit for "Measuring Carbon Avoidance Efficiency: Six Orders of Magnitude in Climate Equities" (2026)
Pazos, J. Zenodo, v2.0. Released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19675432
Contains the complete library of 34 sector-specific physics proxy models, anonymized per-firm inputs for 187 firms, panel data 2024Q1–2025Q4, and a deterministic Python calculator reproducing every CER value in the paper.
